Rieter is the only supplier worldwide to cover spinning preparation processes as well as all four end spinning processes currently established on the market. With 15 manufacturing locations in nine countries, the company employs a global workforce of some 5 022, about 20% of whom are based in Switzerland. Rieter is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange under ticker symbol RIEN.

- Machines & Systems develops and machinery and systems for producing yarns from natural and manmade fibers and their blends.
- After sales provides comprehensive products and services for spinning mills throughout the product life cycle of their installations.
- Components is the leading global supplier of components for shortstaple and long-staple spinning mills, as well as for producers of nonwovens. The business group is represented on the market through four brands: Bräcker, Graf, Novibra and Suessen.
