The Murata two nozzle air-jet spinnig machine (MJS) is fully automated. This reduces the labor requirement, of course, and economically is a very positive feature. Automation includes:

  • automatic piecing, by a knotter technique
  • automatic doffing
  • yarn clearer
  • yarn length measuring device.

As in rotor spinning, the economics of jet spinning are further improved by the fact that the roving frame and the winding process are eliminated. Yarn manufacturing costs in jet spinning are therefore considerably lower than in ring spinning.
