T-flange rings

T-flange rings are either single-sided (Fig. 30, a) or twosided (Fig. 30, b). Single-sided rings have to be replaced by new ones when they wear out, while two-sided rings can then be reversed and used on the other side. However, it often transpired that the underside, which had been unused to that point and served as a mounting, had become unserviceable due to corrosion, etc. These rings are therefore now hardly used. Two dimensions are especially important in short staple spinning rings, namely inside diameter D and flange F (Fig. 31).
Rings are available with inside diameters D in the 36 to 57 mm range.
