12.06.2008 - Rieter Nonwovens system's innovations at ITMA ASIA 2008
Rieter Nonwovens Systems will take the opportunity to present the latest innovations for spunlace, spunbond, meltblown and spunjet technologies on booth No. C11, Hall W4 together with NSC nonwoven.
JETlace® series, the state-of-the-art machines for spunlace
With more than 150 spunlace lines installed globally, Rieter is recognized as the unrivalled world leader in spunlace technology. Thanks to its experience, Rieter has developed several JETlace® machines designed to meet nonwovens producers' needs. One of Rieter's successes is JETlace® 3000, capable of producing excellent spunlace fabrics from 30 to 500gsm and with capacities of up to 25 000 tons per year.
JETlace® Avantage design for emerging markets
Rieter launched the new JETlace® Avantage in 2005. This machine enables spunlace fabrics to be produced from 30 to 120gsm with capacities of up to 4 000 tons per year, based on European design and therefore high reliability. This machine is the perfect tool for emerging countries to start spunlace nonwovens production.
JETlace® Essentiel dedicated for wipes production
With the recent market introduction of JETlace® Essentiel, Rieter offers the perfect machine for the production of wipes. JETlace® Essentiel is ideally configured for lightweight fabrics from 30 to 80gsm and with capacities of up to 15 000 tons per year. The adaptation of the spunlace process for this important market offers high reliability and excellent nonwovens properties.
Innovations in spunmelt
Proven spunbond technology
With 8 spunbond lines sold, the PERFObond™ system demonstrates several production benefits, such as excellent web uniformity for low fabric weight and isotropic web strength.
Innovative meltblown technology
In addition, Rieter's portfolio includes a meltblown system offering the best basis weight distribution and the finest and most uniform fiber size distribution in the industry for fabrics from 1 to 500gsm. The monolithic Rieter meltblown process is perfectly designed for filtration, face masks, and wipes applications. The combination of Rieter spunbond and meltblown technologies produces SMS webs covering the entire range of products to support the hygiene, medical and filtration markets.
New nonwoven process for innovative fabrics - Spunjet
Rieter's expertise in the spunlace industry and the unique uniformity of the spunlaid webs produced on the PERFObond™ machine have given birth to a new nonwovens process, called spunjet. This technology entails the hydro-entanglement of continuous filament in line, creating a new generation of nonwovens. The spunjet process offers the nonwovens market superior fabric properties with regard to fabric bulk, softness, drape, tensile strength and isotropic MD:CD ratio.
System supply in cooperation with NSC nonwoven
In 2005, Rieter and NSC signed a co-operation agreement in order to offer unique benefits to the nonwovens industry. Today, through this collaboration, Rieter and NSC nonwoven have already supplied several complete spunlace lines as systems supplier. The producers benefit from the unique global know-how in nonwovens of a team of experts in engineering and processes.
The Rieter Group
