06.08.2008 - Rieter supplies a complete spunlace line for the Russian market
In May 2008, Rieter sold a new spunlace line to the Russian company, Avangard, which already has one spunlace machine from Rieter in operation. Avangard's core business is in hygiene products and the company has decided to expand its business into the wipes market.
This is the second complete spunlace line Rieter has sold as systems supplier to the Avangard company. The line will be equipped with opening and blending machines from Laroche, the Excelle® card from NSC nonwoven, the famous JETlace® series, the dryer from Rieter, and the winder from NSC nonwoven. Rieter's experience will enable Avangard to produce high quality spunlace fabrics dedicated to wipes and the hygiene industry. This new line will come into operation in the first half of 2009.
The Rieter Group operates internationally, developing and producing sophisticated systems for the textile and automotive industries. In the 2007 fiscal year Rieter generated sales of CHF 3 930 million with some 15 500 employees worldwide. The Textile Systems Division accounted for CHF 1 567million and the Automotive Systems Division for CHF 2 363 million of these total sales.
