The Rieter Award week 2007 took place from 8.-13.September 2007. The ITMA year offered the possibility not only to visit Switzerland but also Germany and ITMA Munich.

See the longest rotor spinning machine of the world, R 40 with 500 spinning positions and the longest compact spinning machine of the world K 45 with 1'632 spindles - both running

Visit Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau - unfortunately Nermine Fadel did not get the Schengen Visum.

The Rieter Award has been bestowed every year since 1989 on students or young professionals who distinguished themselves during their studies.

Rieter Textile Systems bestowed the Rieter Award 2007 on  Yang Xu, China,  Nermine Fadel, Egypt,  Venkateswaran Selvarajan, India, Sumeet Khanna, India, Devi Meenakshi, India, Demet Yilmaz, Turkey and  Dao Thuy, Vietnam. The winners enjoyed some days in Switzerland and Germany and visited the ITMA 2007.
