01/21/2011 - Rieter Participated in Texfair 2010

The Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) organized Texfair 2010 - the international exhibition for textile machinery, spares, accessories, and other supporting services - from December 17 – 20, 2010 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. The main objective of the event was to create awareness of the latest developments in textile machinery, accessories and equipment.

Mr. J. Thulasidharan, Chairman, SIMA, Coimbatore welcomed the gathering. Other dignatories present on the stage during the inaugration of the expo are (from left to right) Mr. S Dinakaran, chairman – Texfair 2010 & deputy chairman, SIMA spoke about the Texfair 2010. Shri Kannan, chairman, textiles committee, ministry of textiles, government of India gave the presidential address. Mr. Pongalur N Palanisamy, honorable minister for rural industries & animal husbandry, government of Tamilnadu, Chennai did the inauguration. Dr R Nandhini, (chairperson – CII, Tamilnadu), was guest of honour. Shri Diven G Dembla, honorable treasurer, Indian textile accessories & machinery manufacturers’ association, Mumbai and Shri N Natarajan, president, textile machinery & mill stores merchants association, Coimbatore did the felicitations. Mr. Rajkumar, vice-chairman, SIMA, Coimbatore proposed the vote of thanks.

The Minister for Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry, Pongalur N. Palanisamy, inaugurated the event where 180 exhibitors showcased their products and services with 220 stands and more than 35 000 visitors attended. Rieter India displayed Rieter SYS parts related to OE spinning, Compact spinning, Drawframe and Comber along with information booths from Jossi and Xorella. All the visitors conveyed their appreciation to the Rieter India team for their booth presentation and hospitality.

Overall, Texfair 2010 turned out to be a success in bringing together the industry stakeholders and increasing their understanding of individual requirements.
