Qtop®

Qtop®

Qtop®

Qtop® is an electronic control of piecing process that shoots the quality of a piecer to the top.

Changes on the spin box:

  • Existing guide piece will be replaced with a new one with holes for the compressed air
  • Hole for the compressed air will be drilled
  • Electomagnetic valve assembly will be mounted
  • Communication modul SUMEC Q will be exchanged

Changes on the machine:

  • Air pressure in the air distribution system must be increased by 5 to 6 bars
  • EPROM in the central board will be re-programmed

Optional installation of a yarn clearer is the final step to yarn quality so far reserved to automated machines.

Application

Principle Qtop®

Prior to piecing a blow of compressed air removes damaged fibers from the sliver opening area

For BT 903 machines; spin boxes CU17, CU18.

Highlights

Piecer – mass increase to yarn

  • Prior to piecing an air flow removes damaged fibers from the sliver opening area
  • New fibres, from which the piecer is formed, are of the same quality and quantity as fibers in the yarn

Advantages

Piecer – relative strength to yarn

  • New fibers, from which the piecer is formed, are of the same quality and quantity as fibres in the yarn
  • Piecer strength rises to values met at robort-made piecers
  • From the yarn-quality-point of view the rewinding can be omitted
