New Twist Stopper DST-MC Enhances DTY Processing Efficiency

Temco introduces the new metal twist stopper DST-MC for draw textured yarn (DTY) applications. Developed and manufactured entirely in Germany, the component combines advanced bearing technology, premium coating quality and high mechanical stability to ensure smooth yarn handling, reduced friction and extended service life.

Designed for demanding DTY applications, Temco’s metal twist stopper DST-MC delivers exceptionally smooth running characteristics, reduced friction and extended service life.

At the heart of the DST-MC is Temco’s advanced bearing technology. Compared to conventional market solutions, the DST-MC achieves up to 60% lower friction and at least 30% lower mass moment of inertia. These advantages ensure gentle yarn handling while significantly reducing filament breaks and yarn damage.

Premium coating for gentle yarn handling
The premium coating “Made in Germany” features a highly homogeneous surface structure that minimizes microscopic peaks and valleys. This enables highly yarn-friendly operation – even for sensitive individual filaments – while increasing coating durability and ensuring long-term performance stability.
An optimized bearing concept with specially engineered lubrication technology lowers bearing speeds by up to 13% under comparable conditions. Reduced rotational speeds minimize bearing stress, extend component lifetime and help lower maintenance and operating costs throughout the entire product lifecycle.
