DK153 cork and rubber smooth roll covering with Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive (PSA)
DK153 is a black Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and granulated cork compound, intimately mixed, keyed to a cotton scrim backing and vulcanized. The cork, rubber and cotton backing form a permanent bond during the vulcanization process, providing strength, resilience and stability to the roll covering.
The granulated cork in the DK153 roll covering gives excellent surface friction and control over the material being processed.
Ribbon roll covering is used to provide various friction properties in manufacturing processes where textiles, carpets, papers, and films are being produced in roll form. The elastomeric cushion provided by the ribbon, along with various surface finishes and textures, can provide the ideal drive characteristics demanded by the application.
