Temco deflection ULR and ULW rollers are used to deflect and guide all kinds of foils during the production process of lithium-ion batteries.


All bearing arrangements are sealed on both sides and are maintenance-free due to lifetime lubrication. In order to reduce the mass moment of inertia, very lightweight Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) roller shells are available in addition to aluminum roller shells and can be combined with specific surfaces (e.g. non-stick coating). Some Temco deflection rollers ULR and ULW meet the regulations of the American Food and Drug Agency (FDA) for food contact substances.

Area of application

The manufacturing proccess of lithium-ion batteries involves a high degree of complexity. Extremely thin carrier and separator foil must be deflected and transported onward in such a way that they are not damaged under any circumstances. Temco ULR and ULW offer particularly smooth running and fast throttling speeds for this process.
