The vertically integrated textile conglomerate Sportking India Ltd. invested in a complete Rieter compact-spinning system from blowroom to winding machine. The system will enable Sportking to produce compact yarns in highest quality from Indian cotton with maximum productivity.
Sportking India has strategically decided to expand its spinning business in the Indian state of Odisha. This will be a green field project. Sportking will install the latest Rieter machine models as well as automation solutions for 150 000 spindles. This includes the high-performance card C 81 with intelligent Carding Gap Control and the autoleveler draw frame RSB-D 27 with two independent machine sides. The automated combing set with the unique lap change and batt piecing system ROBOlap enables constant operation with highest efficiency.
Sportking decided for the latest version of the Rieter ring spinning machine including the fast doffer which brings great benefits by increasing production time. The doffing cycle takes only 90 seconds. The machine also features the advanced spinning geometry and the new cop transport SERVOdisc as well as the latest compacting device which proves to be the most universal system for all raw materials, yarn count ranges and machine compatibilities.
With the direct link between the ring spinning machine and the winding machine Autoconer X6 Sportking can work on the highest automation level. The Autoconer newly features better ergonomics thanks to an 80 mm reduced operating height at the winding unit. The open prism technology, the spindle identification system SPID and the intelligent material flow with RFID technology ensure highest yarn and splicing quality and flexible process automation.
We have selected Rieter based on its excellent technology, unrivaled experience and long-term reliability. Rieter machines provide stronger stability and higher production efficiency which will further support us in growing profitably. This will take us one step forward in the market in terms of quality and productivity.Munish Avasthi, CMD at Sportking India Ltd.
