Zagis, a spinning mill in Mexico, boosted productivity and yarn quality by installing a complete Rieter ring spinning system with automation and digital monitoring. The fully integrated setup now delivers consistent premium yarns with less manual effort and low conversion costs.
Zagis set out to boost competitiveness in a demanding market where yarns of multiple blends of natural and man-made fibers must meet high downstream expectations. The mill faced the classic balancing act: increase productivity without compromising quality, improve consistency despite fluctuating raw-material conditions, reduce manual interventions and interruptions, and gain transparency over the spinning process. To stay ahead locally and in export markets, the customer needed a reliable, fully integrated system that would deliver stable performance day after day.
Upgrade to a Complete Rieter Spinning System
Zagis invested in a complete Rieter ring spinning system, starting with the blowroom line VARIOline for gentle, efficient fiber opening and the card C 80 for high-performance sliver production. The OMEGAlap E 36 and the comber E 90 deliver outstanding combed sliver quality – supported by ROBOlap, which handles lap changes and batt piecing tirelessly and flawlessly. After combing, the autoleveler draw frame RSB-D 26 with two independent machine sides secures precise sliver evenness. The roving frame F 40 combined with the roving bobbin transport system SERVOtrail ensures smooth and reliable roving transport. Finally, the ring spinning machine with semi-electronic system transforms the roving into high-quality yarns with excellent strength and evenness. Throughout the mill, ESSENTIALmonitor provides real-time visibility, enabling operators and managers to make smarter, faster decisions.
